ChangelogAI is a service operated by DviewB & Mycd. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at help@dviewb.com.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
Account data
Email address, name, and profile information provided when you create an account via Clerk (GitHub or Google OAuth).
Usage data
Information about how you use the service, including projects created, changelogs generated, and features accessed.
GitHub repository data
Commit messages and metadata from repositories you explicitly connect to ChangelogAI. We access only the data necessary to generate changelogs. We never write to your repositories.
Payment data
Billing information is processed by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID. We never store credit card numbers or full payment details.
Subscriber data
Email addresses of users who subscribe to public changelog pages. These are collected with explicit double opt-in confirmation.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the ChangelogAI service
- To generate changelogs from your GitHub commits using AI (Anthropic Claude)
- To process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe
- To send transactional emails (subscription confirmations, release notifications) via Resend
- To analyze product usage and improve the service (PostHog analytics, only with your consent)
- To respond to support requests sent to help@dviewb.com
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate ChangelogAI. Each has its own privacy policy:

5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings button (shield icon) in the bottom-left corner of the page.
- Essential cookies — required for authentication (Clerk) and payments (Stripe). Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies — PostHog, used to understand product usage. Activated only with your consent.
- Marketing cookies — Resend, used for product communications. Activated only with your consent.
6. Data Retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- If you delete your account, all associated data (projects, releases, subscribers) is permanently deleted.
- Payment records are retained as required by applicable accounting and tax regulations.
- Subscriber data is deleted immediately upon unsubscribe request.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:
- Right of access — request a copy of your personal data
- Right of rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Right of erasure — request deletion of your data
- Right to data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to object — object to processing of your data for marketing purposes
- Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent for analytics/marketing cookies at any time

8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is restricted and monitored. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the service. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
